DuckDuckGo is bringing a dedicated browser for Mac

Search engine company DuckDuckGo is working to create a dedicated desktop browser for Mac computers. CEO Gabriel Weinberg confirmed the information in a recent blog post.

DuckDuckGo has its own browser service for smartphones. It is hoped that the launch of the desktop will provide the same experience to the users. The company's desktop browser will have a built-in strong security system. As a result, users do not have to set security settings separately or take any other action, the source said.

In addition to online security, the browser will make a huge difference to the user experience in a number of areas, including search, browsing and email, according to DuckDuckGo's blog post. The app has been described as faster, cleaner and more secure than Google Chrome.

The browser that is being brought to the desktop is being built using the rendering engine provided by the OS. It is similar to mobile app. It will not use chromium base used in conventional browsers. The browser currently on Mac is in beta testing. The company also plans to launch a browser for computers in the future.
