Tiktok is testing a new app for live streaming from the desktop. Through this app called TikTok Live Studio, users can live on the platform via computer.
The software allows users to stream tickets directly. One of the areas of use of the app is the livestream of games. Once launched, the platform will be in fierce competition with Twitch, which is currently at the top of the gaming community. The Live Studio app allows users to stream from their computer, phone or game console.
Currently no such feature has been added to the app. Content creators are able to use a few features, including gifting and commenting. In software like OBS and Streamlabus, browser windows can be defined as the source of streaming, but not in Tiktok Live Studio.
The platform has not yet officially opened the app for use. In a message, Tiktok told TechCrunch that thousands of users are now able to run the app. If the company wants to move forward with the app, it will be gradually made available to everyone.
